Guided Installation Program This innovative program is designed for skilled homeowners or home builders in the Okanagan looking to manage the physical installation work while benefiting from expert ROWP oversight and certification. This collaborative approach can offer significant cost savings.

  • Your Role (Homeowner/Builder): Undertake the site work, excavation, and component installation according to the approved ROWP design and our guidance. You are responsible for construction methods, quality of workmanship, materials (as specified), and site safety.  

  • Our Role (Savage Septic Services - ROWP):

    • Provide the approved ROWP System Design and Specifications (if not already completed by us).

    • Manage the Filing of necessary documents with the Interior Health Authority.  

    • Offer expert guidance and supervision for the installation. This can be done via:

      • Remote Review: You provide detailed photographs and/or videos at specified critical stages of construction (e.g., excavations, tank placement, pipe connections, dispersal field component installation, backfill). Our service agreement details the comprehensive photographic documentation required.  

      • Site Visits: Typically involving 2-3 scheduled visits at key construction milestones to observe progress and provide direct oversight.  

    • Conduct necessary inspections for general conformance with the design.  

    • Upon satisfactory completion and review of As-Built information, prepare and file the Letter of Certification (LOC) with the Health Authority and provide you with the LOC, As-Built drawing, and a system Maintenance Plan.
